Economic Development
The Stakes are High
North Carolina has been rated as CNBC's Top State for Business in both 2022 and 2023. Forsyth County is home to a premier ACC higher education institution, one of the nation’s top HBCUs and nearly 50,000 undergraduates. This abundant student population forms a strong foundation for our future workforce. Along with this built in population for future workforces, our county also sits on the intersection of US 52, US 421 and I-40. Despite all this, companies such as Toyota, Boom Supersonic, Eli Lilly, Vinfast and Wolfspeed have invested in other counties throughout the state.
As statewide development projects continue to take off, we need leaders who are advocating for our community. As a County Commissioner, I am committed to stimulating economic investment in our county and driving us toward a fresh economic horizon instead of dwelling in our agricultural past.
Strong, continued, economic growth brings jobs and tax revenue which is good for all of Forsyth County.
